About Nestlé

Nestlé S.A. (full name Nestlé Société Anonyme) is a Swiss multinational corporation, the world's largest food manufacturer. The company is headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland.

Nestlé produces instant coffee, mineral water, chocolate, ice cream, broth, dairy products, baby food, pet food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The main brands are KitKat, Maggi, Nescafe, Nesquik and Nestea. The main market for its products is the US, accounting for just under a third of the company's turnover.

Nestlé's product range has more than 8,500 consumer product trademarks since the company's inception. One of them is Nespresso (a brand of Nestlé Nespresso S.A., an operating unit of Nestlé based in Lausanne); Nespresso machines produce espresso from special capsules containing ground coffee. De'Longhi, BORK and KitchenAid manufacture them. The company owns 461 factories and industrial plants in 83 countries.

  • Zone Americas - operations in the Americas; turnover in 2018 was CHF 31 billion, of which 20.5 billion came from the US and Canada; the main product groups for this region are animal feed (28.4%), dairy products (22.5%) and semi-finished products and concentrates (17.9%); Production facilities are located in 19 countries, with the largest number in the USA (77), Brazil (17), Mexico (13), Chile (9), Canada (8), Argentina (6), Venezuela and Colombia (5 each).
  • Zone Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa - operations in Asia, Australia, Oceania and Africa excluding the northern part; turnover in 2018 was CHF 21.3 billion; the bulk of revenues here are from instant beverages (28.5%), dairy products (24.1%), baby food (22.9%), semi-finished and concentrates (12.2%); Manufacturing facilities are available in 27 countries, with the largest number in PRC (32), Thailand (8), Australia, India and Malaysia (7 each), Viet Nam (6), South Africa and the Philippines (5 each) and Pakistan (4).
  • Zone Europe, Middle East and North Africa - operations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa; turnover in 2018 was CHF 18.9bn, of which 11.8bn was in Western Europe; the largest sales are in instant beverages (27.2%), semi-finished and concentrated products (20.7%), pet food (18.3%) and confectionery (17.4%); Production facilities are located in 39 countries, including France (19), Germany (14), Switzerland (11), UK and Spain (10 each), Israel and Italy (9 each), Saudi Arabia (7), Russia (6), Poland (5), UAE, Turkey, Ukraine and the Czech Republic (3 each).

Nestlé recruitment process in 2025

  1. Online application form
    • One of the first stages of the recruitment process is filling in the application form on Nestlé Careers website.

    • The online application form is usually presented as a questionnaire with the option of importing data from a LinkedIn or CV file.

    • The applicant is required to provide information about work experience, education, skills and other necessary details.

    • There may be questions both about job preferences (e.g. desired type of employment, country and city of residence) and more personal questions (e.g. race and ethnicity, religion, disability)

    • The next stage of the Nestlé recruitment process is an online assessment. The candidate will be sent an email invitation to complete Nestlé tests.

    • Successful candidates are invited for a 15-20 min. phone call.

    • Soft skills are usually assessed during this call by the Nestlé recruiter.

    • In some cases, Nestlé hiring manager may invite you for a video interview (most commonly conducted with HireVue.) For software engineering positions, candidates may be asked to complete a coding challenge (problems on algorithms + take-home challenges.)

  4. Assessment centre
    • Successful candidates are invited to visit the nearest Nestlé headquarters or office.

    • Candidates will have a chance to personally meet the hiring manager, team leaders and seniors during the assessment day.

    • Nestlé may organise a group exercise with candidates as part of the hiring procedure.

  5. Partner interview
    • The final stage of the recruitment process.

    • The candidate will have a chance to meet the hiring manager, department director and/or division lead.

    • Normally, there is no assessment at this stage.

    • Candidates are mostly expected to demonstrate soft skills and a desire to join Nestlé.
